Jesmond Grech started his career in the hospitality industry as a dishwasher. By the age of 16, his passion for the kitchen was growing very fast, and he began watching and assisting talented chefs. At the age of 18, he decided to move abroad to further his career. After three years, he returned to Malta and continued building his career as a chef.
Today, Jesmond Grech works with the Greens Supermarket Group as Chief Operating Officer (COO), overseeing supermarket operations as well as restaurants, and he remains committed to continuing the growth and development of the business.
He genuinely enjoys what he does and looks forward to going to work most days. His workplace has become a second home — a place where his efforts are appreciated and where he believes he can make meaningful and lasting contributions to the industry.
In five years’ time, Jesmond Grech sees himself as an integral part of the company, having contributed significantly to its growth and success. He aims to continue developing his skills and knowledge in order to take on greater responsibilities within the organisation.
Coming from a chef’s background, witnessing the success of people around him who have moved on to new projects and made them successful is extremely rewarding.
